PHOENIX — Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott hasn’t spoken about calling off his wedding to Sarah Jane Ramos, but coach Brian Schottenheimer said he’s doing fine.
On Monday, Schottenheimer was asked about staying connected to players, particularly Prescott, in the offseason.
“But Dak and I have had a ton of conversations,” Schottenheimer said from the NFL’s league meetings. “He’s in a really good spot obviously with what he’s dealing with is incredibly tough. But if anyone can handle it, he can.”
Prescott, who has two children with Ramos, was scheduled to get married next month in Italy. But the wedding was called off for an undisclosed reason. According to TMZ Sports, Prescott and Ramos sent invited guests an email notifying them of the canceled wedding.

Prescott is one of the leaders on the Cowboys and considered a great communicator. Schottenheimer has also expressed he’s a people person who likes to make sure his players are in a good place on and off the field.
Schottenheimer mentioned he “wept” during a 20-minute conversation with traded defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa.
“Yeah, I try to talk to all the guys,” he said. “I reach out to most of them. I actually got a plan. I’m a little bit, a little I guess obsessive, compulsive in that regard in trying to reach out to position groups to check in. Some of them don’t really reach back out and that’s cool, too. I get it. Hey guys, I get it you’re on vacation.”
