A lot of Bills fans were disappointed to hear that free agent edge rusher AJ Epenesa had agreed to sign with the Cleveland Browns a couple of days ago. However, there’s a chance his time in Buffalo might not be over quite yet.

The Browns have decided to back out of their deal with AJ Epenesa

I can’t remember a time when so many deals were canceled in the NFL due to results from the players’ physicals, but it just happened again with AJ Epenesa.

You may remember a couple of weeks ago when the Ravens had reportedly made a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders to trade for edge rusher Maxx Crosby. However, they backed out of that deal after the results of his physical came back, and they were unhappy with them.

The same thing just happened with AJ Epenesa, only instead of a trade where the player went back to his original team, in the case of Epenesa, he will go back to being a free agent.

Could Epenesa come back to the Bills?

Now, Bills fans are wondering if there’s a chance he might come back to Buffalo. Last year he was making around $6 million with the Bills. The deal he signed with the Browns was for $5 million.

The Bills could use some help on the edge. Right now, it looks as though Greg Rousseau and Bradley Chubb will be your starters, but in the past, the Bills have been known to rotate their defensive linemen quite a bit. So they will need some extra bodies. Chances are, Joey Bosa will be going somewhere else to sign for much more than the Bills will be able to pay him. Hopefully they will be able to get Michael Hoecht back from injury and Landon Jackson, who both had some nasty injuries to end their season. They do still have Javon Salomon, who is healthy.

What do you think? Will the Bills be looking to sign AJ Epenesa back at a cheaper rate?
