Newly acquired Buffalo Bills WR DJ Moore

The Buffalo Bills have already pulled off one blockbuster wide receiver trade this offseason, and they might be about to execute another.

Buffalo sent its 2026 second-round pick to the Chicago Bears for perennial 1,000-yard wide receiver DJ Moore a few weeks ago to bolster a wide receiver room that hasn’t had a 1,000-yard wideout since it parted ways with Stefon Diggs following the 2023 season.

In the two years that Diggs has been gone, the Bills haven’t had a pass-catcher top 850 yards. Khalil Shakir has led the team in receiving both years with 719 yards in 2025 and 821 yards in 2024.

But it’s clear the front office is serious about giving Josh Allen more weapons to throw to, which is why another trade could be in the team’s future.

According to Easton Butler of Packer Report, the Bills have shown interest in one particular receiver on the Green Bay Packers — and they seem to be one of a few serious contenders to pry said WR away from the Packers.

“Teams have been calling the #Packers about WR Dontayvion Wicks again,” Butler posted on X. “Some teams include the Bills, Raiders, Dolphins and Jets. Several others are calling, but these 4 have been the most prominent.”

Wicks is by no means on Diggs’ level, but he’s shown flashes of being a really strong No. 2 receiver.

Buried on the depth chart behind Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, and Romeo Doubs the last few years, Wicks has shown he has upside. The 24-year-old wideout has totaled 108 catches on 180 targets for 1,328 yards, and 11 touchdowns in three seasons.

He’s never had more than 39 receptions of 581 yards in a season, but if given the workload of a No. 2 or a No. 1B, Wicks could surprise some people.

With Moore’s arrivals, adding Wicks to the fold with Shakir, Keon Coleman, and Joshua Palmer could give Josh Allen arguably the deepest WR crops he’s had in his eight NFL seasons.

Sure, there’s no truly elite No. 1 to throw to, but having a well-rounded arsenal of receivers could prove useful come playoff time.

Bills Make Another Offensive Roster Move

While adding another wide receiver would be big for Allen, so too was picking up the fifth-year option on tight end Dalton Kincaid on Monday.

Kincaid seemed to be Allen’s favorite weapon last season, leading the team with 5 touchdowns and ranking second behind Shakir in catches (39) and yards (571). Had he not gotten hurt (he missed 5 games due to a series of injuries), Kincaid was on pace to lead the Bills in receiving yards.

Buffalo also restructured fellow TE Dawson Knox’s contract a while back as well, giving Allen two pass-catchers in the middle of the field that he already has a strong rapport with. Jackson Hawes also stepped up as a rookie last year — and the Bills just may have the deepest 1-2-3 punch at tight end in the entire NFL.
