The Patriots will be featured on “Hard Knocks,” HBO’s behind-the-scenes NFL series, during their 2027 training camp, according to reports.
It will be the first time the Patriots have appeared on the show.
The NFL recently changed its rules that allowed teams to decline invitations and/or prohibited them from being featured if they made the playoffs the prior year. The past two summers, the Patriots have been ineligible because they’ve had a first-year head coach. The reigning Super Bowl champion Seahawks will be the focus of this year’s show.
The Patriots have become a national attraction thanks to MVP runner-up quarterback Drake Maye and coach Mike Vrabel. They are the only AFC East team that has yet to appear. The Bills were featured last summer, and the two teams are expected to battle for the division again next season.
On Monday, Patriots owner Robert Kraft said the team’s goal was to make the playoffs again in 2027.
“I think actually the team way overachieved what any of us thought would happen. And it was wonderful,” Kraft told reporters at the NFL Annual Meeting. “And winning that championship game in Denver, when we have such a past history of difficulty winning in Denver, it was very special, and I’m so proud of this team. And most of them are still young.”
