Another season, another preseason joint practice for the Houston Texans.

According to Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Caneles, the Texans will host a joint battle ahead of their preseason matchup at NRG Stadium in August.

“That’ll be a great one, you know,” Canales said of the work with the Texans prior to their road game. “It’s warm here; it’s really warm in Houston. I was in Tampa for a year, but I’ve also heard Houston just gives you that good work, and the humidity and the heat will be great, especially opening up at Jacksonville. So it’ll be a great opportunity for us to get on the road.”

The Texans last year hosted a joint practice with the Los Angeles Rams ahead of their final preseason showdown. The year before, Houston hosted a pair of joint practices against the Miami Dolphins ahead of the matchup at NRG Stadium.

As of now, that marks the only preseason joint practice for Houston for 2025, though things could change in an instant, depending on how the other teams on the schedule feel. The Texans also have preseason matchups against the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions on the road.

Houston begins the regular season on the road against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on Sept. 7.
