The 2026 NFL Draft kicks off on April 23, although the Atlanta Falcons will have to wait until Day 2 to make their first pick of the Ian Cunningham era. The first-year general manager will have to navigate his first NFL draft class without a first-round pick.

The Falcons traded away that selection during last year’s draft to move up for Defensive Rookie of the Year finalist James Pearce Jr. Unfortunately, Pearce’s legal troubles have put his NFL career on hold for the time being.

To compensate for the potential loss of Pearce in 2026, the Falcons signed veteran edge rushers Samson Ebukam, Azeez Ojulari and Cameron Thomas, however, the team still has a few holes at wide receiver, cornerback and linebacker.

Last week, the Falcons completed their first trade of Cunningham’s tenure, acquiring safety Sydney Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles in a late-round pick swap. Atlanta sent pick No. 114 and pick No. 197 to Philadelphia in exchange for the pick No. 122 and pick No. 215.

The Falcons have five total picks following their trade with the Eagles. Check out the team’s current selections in the 2026 NFL Draft below.
