There are still plenty of quality free agents left out on the open market and the Tennessee Titans have more than enough resources to bring in more veteran help. Mike Borgonzi attacked free agency early on, and the Titans still have $64 million to use if they wanted, per Spotrac.Â
The main theme of Tennessee’s free agency has been building up the Robert Saleh’s defense. While they did add Wan’Dale Robinson for Cam Ward on offense, the majority of resources has been spent on Saleh’s unit. They have signed and traded for help in the trenches, and went heavy in the secondary.
Even with all of the defensive free agency signings, there is an edge rusher that the Titans would be smart to add that is surprisingly still a free agent.
Five-time Pro Bowler listed as best fit for Titans (and fans would love to see it)
Mason Cameron from Pro Football Focus (PFF) listed the Titans as the best landing spot for edge rusher Joey Bosa, who spent the 2025 season with the Buffalo Bills. Bosa is coming off a season where he led the league in forced fumbles (5) and was consistently bringing pressure off the edge.
The Titans could very well benefit from having him coming off the edge along with Jermaine Johnson. Not to mention, the Titans would also have Jon Franklin-Myers and Jeffery Simmons so the defensive line for Tennessee would cause havoc.
“Although the Titans produced solid overall pass-rush metrics in 2025, the credit largely goes to Jeffery Simmons on the interior for carrying the unit. In terms of pass rushing off the edge, the Titans ranked just 28th in pressure rate (18.9%) and 26th in pass-rush productivity rating (12.3).” said Cameron.
When the Bills signed Bosa, he was the replacement for Von Miller and he was an upgrade for sure. Now granted, Bosa wasn’t always a game-wrecker, but he provided great pressure that caused the Bills to have one of the better pass defenses in 2025.
According to Spotrac, Bosa’s market value is currently listed at $13.7 million but because he still remains a free agent, there is a chance that the Titans could get him for less. Even if they built in incentives into a deal, that would be the best course of action. Prior to him going to Buffalo, Bosa has had to deal with an extensive injury history when he was with the Los Angeles Chargers.
He only missed one true game last season, proving that if he is utilized correctly by the coaching staff, he will be available. If the Titans were to act on bringing Bosa to Nashville to play under Saleh, they would be getting a great veteran who still has plenty of good football left to play.
