Travis Kelce reacted publicly after Brittany Mahomes received a major career honor over the weekend. Brittany was inducted into the University of Texas at Tyler Athletics Hall of Fame, and her announcement quickly drew responses from friends, family, and members of the Kansas City Chiefs organization.

Kelce shared his reaction in the comments of Brittany’s Instagram post following her induction.

The Chiefs’ tight end kept his message short and direct. “HOF BRITT! LFG!” Kelce wrote.

Patrick Mahomes also responded to the post shortly after it was shared. “Congrats!!!! Love you!” he commented.

Brittany had posted photos from the ceremony, calling the recognition meaningful and reflecting on her journey. The event took place during a private ceremony, according to the University of Texas at Tyler.

The exchange marked another public moment between the close-knit group, which has frequently supported each other both on and off the field.

Brittany Mahomes Reflects on UT Tyler Career and Honor

During her Hall of Fame speech, Brittany spoke about her connection to the university and the impact it had on her life.

“I’m incredibly honored to be here and get recognized in this way in my hometown,” Brittany said, via CBS19. “Tyler was a huge part of my life and how I continue to live my life to this day.”

She reflected on her time as a student-athlete and the role it played in shaping her future.

“Those four years that I had here I truly cherish, and they are a big part of who I am today,” Brittany said.

Brittany was a standout soccer player at UT Tyler from 2013 to 2016. She finished second all-time in program history in both points and goals, recording 78 points and 31 goals. Her 2016 season included 40 points and 18 goals, one of the most productive seasons in program history.

After college, she briefly played professional soccer in Iceland before transitioning into fitness training and business ventures.

Brittany Mahomes Announces Soccer Partnership and Women’s Sports Initiative

Brittany also used the occasion to announce a new partnership tied to the university’s women’s soccer program. She revealed that the team will join “Team Mahomes” in collaboration with Adidas beginning in the fall 2026 season.

“I want to continue to bring a legacy to Tyler and to UT Tyler and continue to elevate women’s sports,” Brittany said.

She emphasized the importance of growing opportunities for women’s soccer and increasing visibility for the sport.

“I want to see it continue to get visibility and opportunity,” she said. “That’s a big part of my passion.”

Brittany has remained involved in soccer since her playing career, including her role as part of the ownership group behind the Kansas City Current. She helped establish the foundation of the National Women’s Soccer League team, which later included her husband as an investor.

Travis Kelce and Brittany Mahomes Continue Public Support

Kelce’s comment came shortly after Brittany supported him publicly following his own career update. After Kelce confirmed his return for a 14th NFL season, Brittany responded on Instagram with an enthusiastic message.

“LETS GOOO,” she wrote, adding fire emojis.

The group, who have been spotted on double dates around the globe, has also shown support for each other’s personal milestones.

In August 2025, Brittany reacted to Kelce’s engagement to Taylor Swift, writing on Instagram Stories, “Two of the most genuine people meet & fall in love. Just so happy for these two.”

Patrick also shared the announcement, adding heart emojis while featuring Swift’s song “So High School.”
