Van Lanen, who was traded to Jacksonville in 2022, filled in across the offensive line, starting several games last year at right guard in place of an injured Patrick Mekari, who missed three games to a concussion and lingering back issues. Van Lanen started at every position on the line last season, except at center, and started at blindside tackle for the last five games of the regular season. (A knee injury kept Van Lanen sidelined for the Jaguars’ AFC wild-card loss on Jan. 11 against the Buffalo Bills.)
