The Los Angeles Rams had one of the most versatile tight end rooms in the league. Between Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson, Davis Allen, and Terrance Ferguson, the Rams TE’s accounted for 1,128 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Head coach Sean McVay frequently ran a 13 personnel in 2025, utilizing three tight ends at a time. This play style allowed for effective play-action passing and thrived on the Rams’ offense.
According to Rams staff writer Wyatt Miller, “The Rams’ 30.5% 13 personnel rate last year was the highest by a team in the Next Gen Stats Era (since 2016) by nearly 13%.”
While it seems like there might not be much room in LA for another tight end, ESPN analyst Matt Bowen predicts that University of Oregon Ducks tight end Kenyon Sadiq is a perfect for fit for the Rams at no. 13 overall.
“The Rams don’t have a major need at tight end, but Sadiq should be viewed as a matchup player for Sean McVay’s offense,” Bowen writes about Sadiq in his recent mock draft. “With his frame and 4.39 speed, Sadiq could be a seam stretcher for quarterback Matthew Stafford. Plus, McVay could use Sadiq as a backside X receiver/power slot to draw favorable man matchups. And he would fit as a catch-and-run target on boot action concepts; Stafford led the NFL with 75 attempts on designed rollouts in 2025.”
In college, “Sadiq ran 58.5% of his routes out of the slot last year and led all FBS tight ends with five touchdown receptions while lined up in the slot,” according to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin.
Sadiq’s ability in the slot makes him a value asset on the Rams offense.

Kenyon Sadiq Turns Heads at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine
The Oregon Duck tight end prospect is slightly undersized at the position. Sadiq sits at 6-foot-3 and 245 lbs.
However, what he lacks in size, he makes up in speed and agility.
At the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, Kenyon Sadiq’s draft stock rose dramatically. He finished with one of the best performances by a tight end in combine history.
NFL.com writer Lance Zierlein discusses Sadiq’s intriguing versality in his scouting profile.
A versatile tight end with a shredded physique and alluring potential as a volume target, Sadiq’s route tree will be full of branches,” Zierlein said. “His athleticism and break quickness should allow him to uncover against man coverage on all three levels.”
“He’s talented after the catch, with the ability to make things easier for play-callers and quarterbacks looking to move the sticks. He has the body control and hand strength to win contested catches but will occasionally allow balls to hit the ground on lower-difficulty plays. He’s adequate as a blocker, giving good effort in-line and locating and landing on linebackers as a move blocker. Teams looking to diversify their passing game options with a talented pass-catching tight end could make Sadiq a priority.”

Los Angeles Rams’ Terrance Ferguson Could Reunite With Former Oregon Teammate Kenyon Sadiq
If the Rams were to pursue Kenyon Sadiq, he would be reuniting with former teammate, Terrance Ferguson. The tight end duo played together in 2023 and 2024.
Ferguson ranks second in tight end receiving yards all-time at the University of Oregon.
Both Ferguson and Sadiq also played with Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix.
