With the NFL annual league meetings underway, Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh had a chance to sit down with the media at the annual coaches breakfast, and he talked about many topics that should interest fans.
One of the biggest things he mentioned was Cam Ward and his recovery from the shoulder injury that knocked him out of the season finale with the Jacksonville Jaguars. As Saleh pointed out, he and the coaching staff are prohibited from working with Ward at this stage of the offseason, but they have been keeping tabs on their young franchise quarterback.
“We’re still allowed updates, and all that stuff. That’s part of making sure he is progressing the right way, and he’s in there working with the trainers and working with the weight room, all that stuff is completely legal.” Saleh said, “We’re up to date. I’m not going to put a timetable on anything, but he’s progressing really well.”
One thing is certain: Saleh has quickly grown to appreciate Ward as a person, and he expects big things from him heading into his second season.
Saleh also pointed out that, in addition to his rehab work in Nashville, Ward is working with a private coach out of town and is focused on improving his footwork during the offseason. Something seen on social media throughout the offseason.
