Per NFL insider Jordan Schultz, former Detroit Lions quarterback Hendon Hooker is headed to the Music City. Hooker is signing with the Tennessee Titans as he returns to the state where his play for the Tennessee Volunteers morphed him into one of the top quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL draft.
Hooker, a third-round pick by the Lions in the 2023 NFL draft, was waived by Detroit at the end of last August. The 6-foot-3, 221-pound signal-caller spent almost all of last season on the Carolina Panthers‘ and New York Jets‘ practice squads.

The Jets signed Hooker to its active roster ahead of their 2025 regular-season finale at the Buffalo Bills.
Hooker, 28, has appeared in just three NFL games in his career, completing 6-of-9 passes for 62 yards. In his two seasons at Tennessee, Hooker passed for 6,080 yards and 58 touchdowns against just five interceptions.
