In the weeks remaining leading up to the 2026 NFL draft, because the Arizona Cardinals are viewed as needing a quarterback, any movement or action regarding quarterback prospects will get attention. While most of the attention and the chatter has been about Alabama QB prospect Ty Simpson, the Cardinals could go with a more experienced player later in the draft.

According to NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport, they are taking a closer look at Miami and former Georgia QB prospect Carson Beck. They, along with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins have official top-30 visits scheduled with Beck.

NFL teams are able to fly in and host up to 30 draft prospects. They tour the facility, meet with coaches and evaluators and often go to dinner. The Cardinals have such visits scheduled for Beck and Simpson.

Beck, after five years at Georgia, he transferred to Miami last year and led the Hurricanes to the national championship game, finishing as runners-up. He led the nation with a 72.4% completion percentage, passing for 3,813 yards, 30 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Beck is not considered a premier quarterback prospect and the earliest he is like to be drafted is the third round.

He is built big at 6-5 and 233 pounds. He had played championship-level football and is very experienced. He is the type of quarterback who has a really high floor and, even if he never develops into a big-time starter, he could have a long NFL career.
