A report from The Baltimore Banner says the Baltimore Ravens will face the Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro this season as part of the NFL’s international schedule. A second-place finish in the AFC North will give Jesse Minter’s team a middle-of-the-pack schedule in 2026. Baltimore’s 2026 opponents are set. Their schedule will be one of the league’s most demanding. They will face the gauntlet of juggernauts in the NFC South and AFC South and the second-place finishers in the AFC West, NFC East, and AFC East.

We initially reported that a second-place finish could set up a thrilling first-of-its-kind NFL game in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The National Football League today announced that the Dallas Cowboys will be one of the participating teams in the 2026 NFL Rio game, to be played at Maracanã Stadium.

In Week 3, the Ravens will take on the Dallas Cowboys, who are the home team for the first NFL game to be played in Rio de Janeiro, two league sources told The Banner. They requested anonymity because they were not cleared to discuss the schedule publicly.

The game in Maracaña Stadium will be the first of at least three in Rio over the next five years.

It will be the third NFL game in Brazil in as many years. In 2024, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Green Bay Packers in a Week 1 game played in São Paulo. Last season, the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers played there in 2025.

“We are proud to welcome the Dallas Cowboys to Brazil for the first‑ever NFL game in Rio de Janeiro,” said NFL Brazil General Manager Luis Martinez. “Introducing one of the league’s most iconic teams to the Maracanã Stadium marks a powerful milestone in the continued growth of the sport worldwide. Bringing a regular-season game to Rio strengthens our connection to a vibrant and passionate football community and underscores our long‑term commitment to the market.”
