The New York Jets were one of the worst teams in football last year, so they opted to enter a huge rebuild at the trade deadline. They traded Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams at the trade deadline in exchange for a slew of top draft capital.
They have two first-round picks and two second-round picks in this year’s NFL draft. Next year, they have three picks in the first round. This is a very good thing for the Jets because they have a lot of holes all over their roster.
While they upgraded a lot of positions on defense, they didn’t add to the wide receiver room, which seemed to be one of the biggest issues with the team last year.

The Jets have Garrett Wilson in their wide receiver room, and he’s one of the best pass catchers in the league right now. They signed him to a massive contract extension last offseason, which locked him down for the foreseeable future. But beyond him, they don’t have much.
Adonai Mitchell is a high upside wide receiver, but he hasn’t produced at wide receiver No. 2 levels yet. He still needs quite a bit of developing before he can be a reliable option for the Jets. Arian Smith is a very raw talent for the Jets, too.
Clearly, they need to find another option.
Aaron Glenn downplays the Jets’ wide receiver issue

But head coach Aaron Glenn recently downplayed the idea of the Jets needing to add a wide receiver. Glenn has spoken very highly of Mitchell, Smith, and all the other wide receivers in New York. It seems as though Glenn would be content heading into the season with the wide receiver room as it currently sits.
But the Jets will still likely look for one in the NFL draft. They could target a wide receiver at pick No. 16 in the NFL draft. Jordyn Tyson and Makai Lemon are intriguing wide receivers whom the Jets could look into at this selection. They’ve been closely linked to both prospects.
But it doesn’t seem like it’s Glenn’s biggest concern right now, which means it wouldn’t be surprising if they targeted a different position in the first round.
