Deshaun Watson missed the entire 2025 NFL season after undergoing surgery for a re-torn Achilles tendon. Without him, the Cleveland Browns used three different starting quarterbacks, going 5-12 and missing the playoffs for a second straight year.
Going into the final season of his five-year, $230 million contract, the former Clemson Tiger is looking to bounce back. When speaking to reporters, Browns owner Jimmy Haslam claimed that Watson has a “great chance” to reclaim the starting spot with new head coach Todd Monken.

After short stints with the Miami Dolphins (2024) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2025), Walker announced his retirement on Thursday, writing “NEXT CHAPTER 🙌🏾 Dear God, Thank You,” via an Instagram post.
Watson, who spent two seasons in Cleveland with Walker, quickly took notice, commenting, “More GLORY MY BRUDDA!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾💯💯”
Despite not boasting any Pro Bowl appearances or All-Pro selections, Walker still produced a noteworthy nine-year career. At 30 years old, he leaves it all behind, obtaining $15.3 million in career earnings.
