OSHKOSH – Mark Murphy isn’t done just yet.
The outgoing Packers president and CEO has at least one more job in his current role, having been named master of ceremonies for the fifth annual OCC Golf Classic at the Oshkosh Country Club June 13.

The Oshkosh Country Club confirmed Murphy’s role ahead of the classic’s fifth edition, which is hosted by Green Bay Packers Pro Bowl guard Elgton Jenkins and the club’s owner, TJ Rodgers.
An All-Pro safety who won Super Bowl XVII with Washington, Murphy has served as Green Bay’s top executive since 2007, leading the Packers to 14 playoff appearances in that span, including a victory in Super Bowl XLV.

Murphy is set to retire in July when he reaches the club’s mandatory retirement age of 70 and is thought to be the only person to have won Super Bowls as both player and head of a franchise.
He also spearheaded the effort to bring the NFL Draft to Green Bay for the first time in the event’s history, attracting 600,000 fans to Lambeau Field April 24-26.

“These programs and the houses themselves are designed to be cost-effective and make a difference for those who are going through a rough patch,” Rodgers wrote in the release. “I am also overjoyed with the community support for these programs — beds, pillows, linens and silverware — that just showed up.”
