Carolina clinched their first division title since 2015 and their first playoff berth since 2017 this past season. Head coach Dave Canales, from this week’s NFL Annual League Meeting, spoke about preparing for what is expected to be a tight NFC South race.

“It’s a really amazing division, and I expect another bloodbath that’s gonna come down to the wire at the end of the season again,” Canales told Josina Anderson of Exhibit News Network. “I feel grateful to be a part of that. Doesn’t feel like I’m just coming into a team that’s building an identity, but it’s also a division that’s building an identity of how to play football.”

Canales and the Panthers fell just short of upsetting the Los Angeles Rams in their postseason appearance, taking a 34-31 loss at Bank of America Stadium back in January.
