The Atlanta Falcons completed a top-30 visit with Arkansas running back prospect Mike Washington Jr. on Friday, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported. Washington, a projected mid-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.33 seconds at the combine.

Last season, Washington rushed for 1,066 yards and eight touchdowns on 6.4 yards per carry. He also had 28 catches for 226 receiving yards. The Razorbacks running back is currently ranked No. 71 overall on PFF’s 2026 big board.

“Washington brings alluring size, straight-line speed and yards-after-contact potential as a power back, but also noticeably good vision and footwork to be a potential early-down back in a committee in a man- or gap-scheme run game,” PFF wrote in Washington’s scouting report.

The Falcons let veteran running back Tyler Allgeier walk in free agency. The former 1,000-yard rusher signed a two-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals. Atlanta replaced Allgeier by signing former Washington Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. to a one-year deal.

The team also signed Tyler Goodson, who can provide special teams value this season. While the running back position isn’t a need for 2026, the Falcons could still look for a long-term backup to Bijan Robinson.
