The Kansas City Chiefs are less than a month away from making their first pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, and general manager Brett Veach may have a clearer idea of how he wants to spend his team’s No. 9 selection after meeting with a standout wide receiver this week.

On April 4, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Kansas City hosted University of Southern California Trojans wideout Makai Lemon on a Top 30 visit.

Lemon, who tallied 1156 receiving yards and 11 touchdown catches in 2025, is expected to be among the first pass-catchers who will hear his name called in the 2026 NFL Draft.

In addition to his visit with the Chiefs, Lemon is said to have met with the Miami Dolphins, Washington Commanders, and both New York-based franchises:

A unanimous All-American in 2025, Lemon managed to win the Fred Biletnikoff Award for his outstanding junior year with the Trojans.
