Deontay Wilder called out Anthony Joshua after wrapping up a split decision victory over Derek Chisora on Saturday.
“He’s scared as f–k,” Wilder said following a brief confrontation with Joshua. “Let’s do it.”
The two fighters reportedly reached an agreement on a bout in 2024, although issues surfaced before Wilder eventually lost to Joseph Parker.
Wilder confirmed that he was still interested in facing Joshua in Dec. 2025, though.
“Almost definitely. Hands down. I’m a fighter,” Wilder told BoxingScene’s Tris Dixon. “He’s a fighter. I’m still active. He’s still active. And that’s one of the biggest fights people still want to see. You know what I mean?”
“That’s a big fight people still want to see,” he added. “And like I said, we both are still in this business. And so as long as we’re still in this business, we must meet.”
Wilder improved to 45-4-1 with his win over Chisora. While the 40-year-old may not be as imposing in the ring as he once was, he still looked sharp on Saturday.
As for Joshua, he owns a 29-4 record and has won five of his past six fights. The former two-time unified WBO, IBF, and WBA heavyweight champion is coming off a sixth-round knockout win over Jake Paul in Dec. 2025.
