First impressions of this new iteration of the Baltimore Ravens seem to confirm what most would have said had they not been expressed. The early takes are familiar. Many are regurgitated every year at this juncture of the offseason.

OTAs are underway. Baltimore is the favorite to win the AFC North. Lamar Jackson is great, but he needs to win during the postseason, and so on. Fear not if you’ve gotten weary. There will be no shortage of new and fresh conversations to carry us through the summer and into training camp.

DeAndre Hopkins certainly looks good in purple and black. Subplots are aplenty. Roster battles, including one featuring two kickers, highlight the top storylines of organized team activities.

And, yes… The Ravens should (and probably will) win the AFC’s northern division. Fingers are crossed for a deep postseason run and the cherry, a third Vince Lombardi Trophy for one of pro football’s class organizations.

There’s a lot to be excited about here, mainly when one measures the talent Eric DeCosta has assembled and the heights these players and coaches have the potential to reach.

Five Ravens not named Lamar Jackson who can realistically be named All-Pros at season’s end.

We enter the eighth year of the Lamar Jackson experience, and as mentioned, all eyes will be on him once we reach January. Championship windows close quickly in the NFL, and the only complaint people have is that he hasn’t delivered any hardware to Charm City and the loyal and loving members of the flock.

Talent isn’t the question here. Action Jackson has already earned two MVP trophies (2019, 2023), four Pro Bowl nods (2019, 2021, 2023, 2024), and three First-Team All-Pro mentions. It’s easy to argue why he has the potential to win those honors again this season.

Let’s focus on five other Ravens, though. They are also on an All-Pro trajectory.

Derrick Henry

Had it not been for that Saquon Barkley fellow in Philadelphia, Derrick Henry would have won the NFL’s rushing title, but as good as both are, history has taught us something. Guys don’t rush for 2,000 yards or more in consecutive seasons.

Barkley will continue to feast in the City of Brotherly Love while eating behind the Philadelphia Eagles‘ offensive line. Henry, a Second-Team All-Pro last season, shouldn’t have any issues equaling that feat or landing on the first team this season.

Patrick Ricard

There aren’t many fullbacks in the league anymore, but even if there were, they’d have a tough time keeping pace with Patrick Ricard. He’s all kinds of special. He’s made five of the past six Pro Bowl rosters. He’s been named an All-Pro in each of the past two seasons, as a Second-Teamer in 2023 and as a First-Team nod in 2024.

Another nod from the Associated Press looks pretty likely.

Roquan Smith

If Roquan Smith isn’t on this list, it needs to be thrown out entirely. He’s always been talented, but his career truly took off when he traded his Chicago Bears jersey for Ravens attire. Since his arrival in 2022, he’s made the Pro Bowl and landed on the All-Pro roster’s first team every season.

Kyle Hamilton

One of the young Ravens has already established himself as one of the best at his position. Dare we say it? Kyle Hamilton isn’t a carbon copy of Ed Reed, but is fully capable of filling the void created when the Pro Football Hall of Famer hung the cleats up and called it a career.

Reed was special, and we knew that if someone was going to grab that torch several years later, he was going to need to be an exceptional talent. He already has two All-Pro nods on his resume, and he isn’t done yet. You can be assured that more are coming.

Tyler Linderbaum

Tyler Linderbaum is the wild card. There are so many great centers in the AFC, but he deserves to be named among them.

He earned a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2022. He was added to the Pro Bowl roster during each of the past two seasons. He’s getting closer to that All-Pro distinction, and no one should be shocked if it comes this season.

Worth watching: Kyle Van Noy, Nnamdi Madubuike, and Marlon Humphrey

Marlon Humphrey is a two-time All-Pro with the most recent nod coming last season. He’ll be in the conversation for sure for another nomination. Kyle Van Noy earned his first Pro Bowl nod in 2024, and another year in this system should do wonders. He’s also in a contract season.

Add Nnamdi Madubuike to the list of wild cards with Tyler Linderbaum. He was named Second-Team All-Pro in 2023, and after a slight snub last season, he could return to his rightful place among football’s elite in 2025.
