Area coach Tommy Reamon Jr., a former Old Dominion quarterback who has worked on college and NFL staffs, is continuing a tradition his late father emphasized in Hampton Roads: Developing pathways for young student-athletes to get noticed.
Friday night, he will host a free high school football camp called “The Evaluation” at Darling Stadium in partnership with the city of Hampton. It is open to all rising ninth- through 12th-graders across Hampton Roads and will focus on instruction, competition and recruiting insight.
Reamon said top performers will be featured in a Sports Illustrated article and in the Reamon Report. Reamon said the camp will attract high school coaches from around the area and “is designed to create a safe, structured space for student-athletes on a Friday night, while also providing recruiting education for families.”
