The Jacksonville Jaguars operate under-the-radar during the pre-draft process, but one wide receiver on their radar is LSU’s Chris Hilton Jr.

Hilton competed in all four college football All-Star games following the 2025 season. Over the course of those events, Hilton told SI’s Justin Melo that, altogether, he met with all 32 NFL teams.

Jaguars WR draft prospect: WR Chris Hilton Jr.

Hilton saw playing time over five seasons at LSU. He was a big play threat, but his overall production was limited. This includes totaling 60 targets over three years and 589 receiving yards with five touchdowns.

The bulk of his snaps have come outside, and Hilton has been productive with the ball in his hands, picking up YAC. He has often been targeted downfield with his speed.

Here is what NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein wrote in his pre-draft report:

“Hilton has build-up speed to take the top off defenses, averaging 19 yards per catch during his career. He had a troubling lack of production, though, making just 41 catches in five seasons. There are basic route corrections he can make to better open underneath throws. He has adequate ball skills downfield but comes up empty when contested.”

To conclude the interview with Melo, Hilton shared why an NFL team should draft him:

“You’re going to get a true pro. I have the work ethic needed to succeed at the next level. I’m going to be where I’m supposed to be, and I’m going to do what I’m supposed to do. I’m ready to work. I can’t wait for my opportunity.”

What is the Jaguars need at wide receiver?

With Jakobi Meyers, Parker Washington, Brian Thomas Jr., and Travis Hunter at the top of the depth chart, wide receiver isn’t a pressing need for the Jaguars. However, the team’s pursuit of Jake Bobo does tell us that they are looking to bolster their depth here.
