On Friday, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed defensive end Travon Walker to a reported four-year, $110 million contract extension (via ESPN).

As news broke, former Georgia Bulldogs defensive tackle and 2026 NFL Draft prospect Christen Miller was live on NFL Network’s “The Insiders.” Ian Rapoport informed Miller of Walker’s contract, and Miller couldn’t control his excitement for his friend.

Miller stood up, clapped, and said, “You said huh? How much?! A hundred mil?”

Rapoport said, “Four years, $110 [million].”

Miller stood up again and said, “Hey, look, that’s what I call four pockets fool! That’s four pockets. That’s what I call four pockets. He’s a four-pockets fool right now.”

In all seriousness, Miller continued:

“That’s a blessing. If people don’t understand his story, my coach was just talking about that. The first year, he didn’t start at Georgia. The second year was in the rotation, but not really a heavy starter. And the third year? He hit the ground running, and from there, he ain’t stopped since. He’s been a double-digit sack guy in the league, and this is a blessing. That’s what I look up to. Man, just hearing that, that just makes me wanna go harder.”

Elsewhere in his “The Insiders” interview, Miller said he still trains with Walker, and Walker attended the Georgia Pro Day. Miller said, “He literally just told me, he said, ‘Little bro, just take it day by day.'”

Walker played at Georgia from the 2019 season to the 2021 season, winning the national championship in his last collegiate year before the Jaguars made him the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Walker has 27.5 career sacks, including back-to-back 10-sack seasons in 2023 and 2024, in his four-year NFL career.

In 2025, Walker battled knee and wrist injuries, but posted 3.5 sacks, 38 tackles (19 solo), 13 quarterback hits, and eight tackles for loss for the 13-4 Jags.

Miller picked up where Walker left off at Georgia. The Bulldogs won the College Football Playoff National Championship in January 2023, though Miller redshirted and only played in four games as a freshman reserve. Like Walker, Miller steadily increased his role at Georgia from 2023 to 2025.

“He’s solid and tough, and that’s a valuable position, so he probably goes earlier than you think,” an anonymous NFC regional scout said of Miller, according to NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein.

The 2026 NFL Draft is scheduled to take place in Pittsburgh from April 23 to April 25.
