The Bills quietly begin an important phase of their offseason this week in Orchard Park. It’s not flashy, but it sets the tone for what’s ahead.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — You might not realize it, but the Buffalo Bills will soon start offseason workout program activities.

While what happens starting Tuesday in Orchard Park won’t be anywhere near as glamorous as, say, the NFL Draft later this month in Pittsburgh, the players will get back to work under first-year coach Joe Brady and a new staff.

Here’s the quick rundown of the Bills’ offseason workout program calendar, which is subject to change:

Both this week and next, the Bills’ activities will be “limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation only,” according to the collective bargaining agreement.

In the three weeks that follow, the Bills can have on-field workouts with player or group instruction and drills, as well as drills and plays that are conducted at a walk-through pace. “No live contact or team offense vs. team defense drills are permitted,” the NFL says.

Then during OTAs, teams can schedule up to 10 days of sessions. Again, there’s no live contact, but teams can have  7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills.
