The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in a tough spot with the 15th overall pick in this month’s NFL Draft. More often than not, something will fall a teams way to allow them to get a player at a position of need, or someone who is just too good to pass up overall. We have seen that general manager Jason Licht can be hot and cold with his selections, so what could a dream scenario look like for the team?
That is something that Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine discussed in his latest piece. He went through all 32 teams and their dream scenario, for the Bucs it centered around Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles falling to them.
Ballentine writes, “Positional value drives Sonny Styles down the board and right into the Bucs’ lap. They get a sideline-to-sideline defender as the direct heir to Lavonte David’s role after his retirement.”
Styles would be an immediate plug-and-play option for the Bucs as they retool their defense for 2026 and beyond. The team could especially use the help at linebacker after the retirement of Lavonte David, though the prospect of Styles falling to them seems less likely by the day.
