Though the Los Angeles Rams did make a big splash by signing Davante Adams in free agency, it’s hard to say they made many huge moves this offseason. Instead, they focused on retaining many of their own free agents and supplementing the roster with valuable contributors who can help right away.

For the always-aggressive Rams, their offseason moves were rather reasonable compared to years past. That could change in 2026 when the team is equipped with the ammo to go all-in once again – both in free agency and the draft.

CBS Sports’ Tyler Sullivan picked five teams that are set for a big offseason in 2026 and the Rams were among his selections. That’s because they’re projected to have $75 million in cap space and nine total draft picks, including two first-rounders.

Their $75 million in cap room is the fifth-most of any team, so they’ve got money to spend next offseason.

One of the main storylines next offseason for the Los Angeles Rams will again be the status of Matthew Stafford. The veteran quarterback is signed through the 2026 season after his latest restructure with the franchise, but he’ll enter his age-38 season in 2026. Stafford could always decide to hang it up, so that leaves a twinge of mystery about his future. However, if we assume that Stafford is on board for 2026 and remains at his current price point, the Rams will have a tremendous amount of assets to surround him with talent to possibly make another Super Bowl run.

Sullivan points out that Kyren Williams will be a free agent next year and Puka Nacua will be eligible for a contract extension for the first time, so those two players could take up some of that cap space. However, Matthew Stafford is still under contract in 2026 so if he returns, they’ll be set up for another playoff run.

Adding a couple of big-money free agents and three or four top-100 prospects will set the Rams up for not only 2026, but for years to come.
