The Lions CB room suffered major injuries last season, like with the hamstring injury to DJ Reed. Thus, there may be a sneaky need to add to the CB position in the upcoming NFL draft. Colton Hood is a CB prospect who projects very highly and also appears to be medically clean.
Here is the excerpt from my medical report on Colton Hood:

(Ages in parentheses are at start of 2026 season and are factored into the concern level. Injury info and ages based on available public information are unverified and subject to update. Games played data courtesy of sports-reference.com.)
Colton Hood, CB (21) – Tennessee
Projected round 1-2. #29 on Daniel Jeremiah big board March 5. Ran 4.44 40 at the combine.
Concern level 0/10
2023: 4 games then redshirted.
Hood played for three college teams in his three years which is pretty normal these days. There are no reports from any of those three teams of any significant injuries. With a clean history, young age, and good combine testing, he presents as a very low-risk player going into 2026.

Hood finished college with 3 INT and 14 PBU.
