Washington guard JJ Mandaquit is transferring to Arizona, he posted on Instagram on Monday.

The 6-foot-1, 196-pound Mandaquit is coming off his first season at Washington where he averaged 5.2 points on 43.5% shooting and 28.2% from 3-point range in 22 games (six starts). He added 2.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists across 19.6 minutes per game.

His best game for the Huskies came on Jan. 14 in an 82-72 loss to Michigan. Mandaquit scored 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting, highlighted by a 3-of-4 mark from deep. He chipped in four rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Mandaquit, along with five-star Wildcats commit Caleb Holt and Arizona forward Koa Peat, played under head coach Tommy Lloyd for Team USA at the FIBA U19 World Cup.

Coming off their Final Four appearance in the NCAA Tournament, the Wildcats have seen two players enter the transfer portal, forwards Sidi Gueye and Dwayne Aristode.

Mandaquit marks the Wildcats’ first incoming transfer this cycle.

Peat and Brayden Burries are expected to head to the NBA, while Tobe Awaka and Anthony Dell’Orso are out of college eligibility. Montiejus Krivas and Ivan Kharchenkov have gotten some NBA Draft love, too.
