The Jacksonville Jaguars are preparing for the 2026 NFL Draft, which will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, next week. This year, the Jaguars don’t have a first-round pick, having traded it away in 2025 to select Travis Hunter, and are relying on the possibility of finding some gems in later rounds to help fill the few holes they have in their roster.
Thankfully, this year’s draft class has a lot of talent to work with, and the Jaguars have found some major stars in later rounds of the draft.
In the latest addition to this series, here are the top three players taken in the fourth round by the Jaguars over the years, chosen for their production, longevity, and overall impact on the franchise.
Runners-up: Ventrell Miller, Bhayshul Tuten, Seth Payne
#3: Reggie Barlow
Barlow was drafted in the fourth round in 1996 and quickly became a versatile contributor for Jacksonville. He stood out especially as a return specialist and remains among franchise leaders for punt returns and punt return yards. In 1998, he also led the NFL in punt return yardage, with 43 returns for 555 yards. Barlow also made an impact on the offense as a wide receiver, altogether proving himself to have been a major asset on special teams and a valuable contributor on offense.

In 2004, Wilford was selected by the Jags in the fourth round and developed into a strong, reliable wide receiver. In addition to his production as a receiver, he also contributed as a blocker and was an overall asset to the Jaguars’ offense during his time in Jacksonville. He later transitioned into a tight end, and overall, proved himself to be a solid and consistent contributor to the Jags.
#1: David Garrard
One of Jacksonville’s most underrated starting quarterbacks, Garrard was a fourth-round draft pick in 2002 and originally served as a strong backup option. But by 2007, he had become the team’s starter, leading Jacksonville to the playoffs and earning a Pro Bowl nod. Despite continuing to play at a high level, he was released in 2011, though he was able to sign with the Jags for one day in 2015, allowing him to retire with the team. Garrard remains one of the most successful quarterbacks in Jaguars history, despite having been taken in the fourth round.
