MEL BLOUNT CELEBRITY ROAST
The Steelers are one of the most accomplished NFL franchises. They’re tied for the most Super Bowl wins by one team with six. Most of their championship victories came in the 1970s, but they’ve also had success in other decades. A lot of legendary players have suited up for the Steelers, and some of those players will soon get together for a fun event.
WDVE’s Randy Baumann shared on Twitter that the Mel Blount Youth Home All-Star Celebrity Roast is being held Friday. The event is honoring former Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch, and several former players are expected to be in attendance. That includes Terry Bradshaw, John Stallworth, Joey Porter and Trai Essex.
Can’t wait for tonight at the Mel Blount Foundation Roast of @CharlieBatch16!
Terry Bradshaw’s the MC! John Stallworth, Joey Porter, @TraiDay79 and a whole lot more on the dais! I’ve been told to keep it to 5 minutes but I have 7 on Terry alone so this will be interesting pic.twitter.com/lOCDSCNkQU

POP-TART MASCOT AT DRAFT
The NFL draft is almost here, and there’s a lot of excitement around it. The draft itself always brings a lot of intrigue, but the NFL has tried to make it even more enjoyable in recent years. That includes borrowing a new tradition from college football.
NBC Sports insider Nicole Auerbach posted on Twitter that there will be a Pop-Tart edible mascot sacrifice at the draft. While those who haven’t seen it before might be confused by that, it has become one of the most fun parts of college football’s bowl season. The Pop-Tart Bowl has seen a mascot get “sacrificed,” with winning players getting to enjoy the tasty treat.
OMG there’s going to be a @PopTartsUS Edible Mascot sacrifice for *fans* at the NFL Draft!
Protein Slammin’ Strawberry will be drafted by the fans and head to Mouth Heaven on Friday, April 24 at 3pm ET at Nova Place — 100 S. Commons, Pittsburgh, PA. (Venue opens at 1.) pic.twitter.com/5iQLzkntrH

NEW RAVENS UNIFORMS
The Baltimore Ravens are arguably the Steelers’ biggest rival, with the two teams often finding themselves competing for the AFC North title. While the Steelers swept the Ravens last year, neither game was easy. The Ravens, like the Steelers, got a new head coach this offseason, but that isn’t the only change they’ve experienced.
The Ravens have new uniforms, as they revealed on Twitter. There aren’t many big changes, but there are enough differences that help signal their new era. We’ll see if their new look helps them play better this season.
