The Pittsburgh Steelers aren’t the only AFC North team making a splash this offseason, as the Cincinnati Bengals pulled off a blockbuster trade for a superstar defender.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bengals are trading their No. 10 overall pick of the first round to the New York Giants in exchange for All-Pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence.
Lawrence, one of Pro Football Focus’ highest-graded defensive tackles over the past several seasons, requested a trade from the Giants after contract negotiations reportedly fell apart.

While the Bengals have made it a clear emphasis to upgrade their defense this offseason, one can’t help but wonder if trading the No. 10 overall pick was too steep a price for a defender seeking a massive payday.
