Now this is how you hammer down a beer!
Considering how the Buffalo Sabres hadn’t made the playoffs since 2011 heading into the 2025-26 season, we all knew that things would eventually get crazy in the city with the team finally punching a ticket. And that was on full display against the Boston Bruins in Game 2.
Like quiet and classy Josh Allen throwing down a beer to hype up the Sabres crowd, with the Bills quarterback getting the arena so pumped that it left the entire city of Buffalo shaking. It was epic. (RELATED: Mike Tomlin Joins NBC In Post-Retirement Television Gig: REPORT)
It’s a beautiful time to be a Sabres fan, with the team clinching a postseason spot as the Atlantic Division’s top seed. They would then take a 1-0 series lead over the Bruins after pulling off a come-from-behind victory in Game 1.
With this being the case, Buffalo decided to ratchet things up by inviting Allen to the second game, and with two missions for him: hyping up the crowd and smashing down an ice cold beer. Oh, and he also got to bang a big Sabres drum, which was pretty damn cool in itself.
Who says Josh Allen doesn’t have a wild side? (And yes, I’m completely ignoring the Sabres ultimately losing this game, doesn’t matter!)
WATCH:
Speaking of the NHL and beer, I wouldn’t mind having a cold one myself after losing four playoff parlays by one leg. And we’re talking about 5/6 on each. I couldn’t have had worse luck.
Fortunately, baseball cashed me out to win that coin back, but holy hell, how close I was to a legacy night.
