The biggest issue on the Minnesota Vikings roster right now is the lack of depth.
Former general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah struggled when it came to drafting. One of the biggest issues within that was the lack of draft capital on day two. Over the last three NFL Drafts, the Vikings made just two selections: cornerback Mekhi Blackmon (2023: No. 102) and wide receiver Tai Felton (2025: No. 102).
That isn’t going to help the Vikings win their first Super Bowl. Right now, they are slated to select three times on day two, and they could get more picks.

Nearly everyone this year has been rumored to trade down in the first round of the NFL Draft. The Vikings would love to trade down slightly and get another day two pick, which is where the depth of this class is.
They may be able to strike a deal, as the Houston Texans are apparently looking to trade up with the intention of landing Auburn Tigers edge rusher Keldric Faulk.
