Mansoor Delane, a native of Silver Spring, Maryland, attended Virginia Tech out of high school. Per 247Sports, Thieneman signed with Purdue over offers that included Maryland, Illinois, Minnesota and more. After three seasons at Virginia Tech, Delane transferred to LSU in 2025.

What kind of prospect was Mansoor Delane in high school?

Mansoor Delane was a two sport athlete in football and wrestling at Archbishop Spalding High School. He was a three-star recruit, ranking as high as the No. 55 cornerback in the class of 2022 and the No. 13 player in Maryland, depending on the recruiting service.

Delane originally attended Landon School before transferring to Archbishop Spalding for his sophomore year where he posted three interceptions as a cornerback. He was a versatile prospect in high school, beginning his career at cornerback before playing safety and nickel as a junor and senior. He also played wide receiver for Spalding, leading them to a 10-1 record during 2021 and the No. 7 ranking in the Washington Post’s season-ending rankings, all while finishing with 78 tackles.

What was Mansoor Delane’s record in college?

Mansoor Delane played his first three years at Virginia Tech and his final year at LSU, finishing with a combined 23-27 record. Delane opted out of the Texas Bowl while with LSU, but helped Virginia Tech to a 2023 Military Bowl win while losing the 2024-25 Duke’s Mayo Bowl with the Hokies.
