VERMILLION, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -Spring football means different things to different programs.
For Matt Vitzthum and hist USD Coyotes it means a 3 straight season of having a different head coach for those players who have been in Vermillion that long.
But the new guy in charge doesn’t think that will create extra challenges for his guys.
Matt Vitzthum. USD FB Coach says, “We have a determined group right now. We have a group that has it’s sites set on some pretty big things and they know that’s not about a head coach, no about a strength coach, not about a quarterback. That’s a collective effort of people that need to get things done together and they are trying to do that. We have great leadership in the locker room, great leadership still on our staff. And those things together have continued to push this train moving forward. I love where we are at.”
And that is trying to put together another team that can make a run in the post season for the 3rd straight year.
They conclude spring ball on Saturday.
