After three seasons at Troy and a year at Penn State, Devonte Ross’ collegiate career is now behind him.
Ross signed as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Chargers, per Jordan Schultz.
The Georgia native was an all-conference receiver and special teams player with the Trojans, tallying a career-high 1,043 yards and 11 touchdowns in his junior season.
While Ross looked to make the most of his final year transferring to a Power Four school, his senior season was ultimately underwhelming. He recorded just 36 receptions for 501 yards and five touchdowns.
Despite the statistical decline, Ross experienced several big moments, including catching the game-tying touchdown against Oregon in the White Out game.
Ross showed signs of success during the 2025 season on offense and special teams, averaging 13.9 yards per catch and leading the team with 71 yards on punt returns.
“It’s a blessing, man, just being in this position,” Ross said at Penn State Pro Day. “Growing up, I wouldn’t even say I saw myself being able to do something like this. Penn State was able to help me showcase my ability to the rest of the world.”
