PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WCJB) – Florida football had a player drafted in every round of the NFL Draft for the first time in school history to cap off the 2026 NFL Draft.
Devin Moore (Dallas Cowboys), George Gumbs Jr. (Indianapolis Colts), Trey Smack (Green Bay Packers) and Tommy Doman (Buffalo Bills) rounded out a seven-selection 2026 NFL Draft for Florida Football. The Gators’ seven draft picks are tied for the 10th most this year.
Moore is the 18th Gator selected all-time by the Cowboys and the first since Shemar James (Round 5, Pick 152). Gumbs Jr. is the first to be drafted by the Colts since Anthony Richardson in 2023. Lastly, Trey Smack the first to Green Bay since 2021 and Tommy Doman the 11th all-time to get drafted by the Bills.
The 87 picks out of the Southeastern Conference were the most out of a conference in NFL Draft history.
With day three selections, Florida has had 387 players drafted all-time and 299 players selected since 1967.
The Gators will open the regular season and the first season under Head Coach Jon Sumrall on September 5th hosting Florida Atlantic.
