Zach Durfee, a 2020 graduate of Dawson-Boyd High School was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 7th round of the NFL Draft Saturday.
Durfee, a 6’5″, 258-pound edge defender from the University of Washington was taken with the 233rd pick in the draft, and he played in and started 10 of 12 games for the Huskies in 2025. Durfee had a season-high in tackles with five in a 38-10 win over Boise St., and he totaled 37 for the season, including five for a loss, and 8.5 for his career. Â
Durfee also totaled four sacks last season, 6.5 for his career, plus six quarterback hurries and two pass breakups in 2025.  Durfee became the fourth player from Washington selected by the Jaguars in the NFL Draft, the first since offensive tackle Khalif Barnes in Round 2 in 2005.
