Daniels is a dual-threat quarterback who relies on playmaking ability, mobility, and creativity. He excels in a run/pass option offense, thriving when he can extend plays. Daniels can fit with the Bucs as an alternative and practice squad player. There are questions about his durability and sloppy mechanics.

Tampa Bay Draft Grades and Analysis

Deshawn McKnight, Defensive Tackle, Arizona

McKnight is a solid defensive tackle who has a high football IQ. He is a reliable tackler and pursues effectively with good speed for a tackle. McKnight doesn’t have an explosive first step. He has a decent shot at making it on the roster as the team looks to boost its defensive aggressiveness.

Noah Short, Wide Receiver, Army

Short comes from an Army offense that utilized his athleticism and separation ability. He can make the roster as a special teams standout and in packages when they can use him in the slot.

Chandler Morris, Quarterback, Virginia

Morris provides another arm for training camp and is a potential candidate for a practice squad spot. He has a high football IQ but lacks the physical abilities to excel as a starter.

Jack Pyburn, Edge, LSU

Pyburn adds to the defensive line mix and is solid at fundamentals. There is always room in the linebacker and edge room for a pash rusher.

Paul Rubelt, Offensive Tackle, UCF

Rubelt has a chance to move from one Florida locker room to another. He is a technically sound, high-motor offensive lineman who could make the roster as a guard and center backup. He is intelligent and tough, and has a decent chance of at least earning a practice squad spot.

Javin Wright, Linebacker, Nebraska

Wright is another versatile linebacker with experience at safety, nickel, and boundary cornerback. He matches up with tight ends well, but will be challenged against speedy receivers. Wright has a chance to make the roster as a special teams standout and in nickel packages.
