With the Baltimore Ravens completing the 2026 NFL Draft, head coach Jesse Minter is preparing for his first season as the team’s new head coach after a plethora of years under John Harbaugh. As it remains to be seen if the Ravens make any trades or moves to further improve the team, it seems as if the team is behind Minter, as proven with Zay Flower’s recent comments.

Flowers would talk to SportsCenter about his early impressions of Minter, with the wide receiver expressing how much he, star quarterback Lamar Jackson, running back Derrick Henry, and the rest of Baltimore “love” him.

“We love him. Everybody, Lamar, me, Derrick, the whole defense loves him. It’s just like a different energy. It’s like, he’s confident, but it’s calm. So it gives like he’s about business, like he’s ready to get it started. We ready to get it started. And it gives everybody a new opportunity,” Flowers said.

Ravens’ Zay Flowers on John Harbaugh’s practices

Flowers is looking to build off of his last season with the Ravens, recording 1,211 yards to go along with 86 catches and five touchdowns. The other topic he would speak about was his comments about Harbaugh’s practices, and how Baltimore “had a lot of injuries” because of them, as he said on the “4th and South” podcast.

He would express how that was “not a shot” at Harbaugh, as Flowers would speak about how the Ravens were “always prepared” to win football games.

“You was running a lot,” Flowers said. “You know, it’s practice like, I’ve been practicing since I started playing football when I was four. So I’ve been practicing for a long time. It just depends on how much you run. You run a lot. The more you run, the more your body breaks down, I feel like. So it was really not a shot at him, because we was always prepared to go play. He was always prepared to win games. And that’s what we did in my three years there.”

At any rate, Minter and Baltimore look to improve after finishing with an 8-9 record in 2025.
