There was plenty of debate between the end of night two and the start of day three in the Buffalo Bills‘ war room on who the team should select with their first pick in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
In an attempt to make the decision easier, Bills president of football operations and general manager Brandon Beane shared how he used the team’s scouts to help in the decision. It all came down to a set of emails.

“We had our scouts write us an email of the player right now that you’re most convicted about in this fourth round,” Beane shared in the latest episode of Embedded. “I would say one of the guys that got a lot of love from our scouts was Jude Bowry.”
And with that, Bowry was the choice at pick 102.
Buffalo views Bowry as a prospect who can play at tackle or guard. Regardless of where he lines up, the team feels Bowry can eventually start.
The Bills did plenty of homework on Bowry leading up to the draft. They had a workout with the former Boston College offensive lineman and had multiple meetings as well.

Bowry started 23 games in his career at Boston College and played in a pro-style offense. In addition to his overall play, Bowry’s athletic testing was off the charts. He recorded a 9.4 Relative Athletic Score (RAS).
Bowry wasn’t the only Bills draft pick that scouts showed conviction about on day three of the draft. In the Embedded episode, Beane reveals that some of the scouts also sent emails on Jalon Kilgore before the start of the fourth round. Buffalo was able to land the safety one round later.
