Talk about a Year 2 leap.
Marvin Mims made an instant impact with the Denver Broncos as a rookie, earning a second-team All-Pro nod and Pro Bowl berth as a returner, but he didn’t have a big role on offense. That changed in his second season.

Last fall, Mims ranked second in receiving yards (503) and second in receiving touchdowns (six) while also rushing 13 times for 42 yards and totaling 602 return yards. He led the NFL with 15.7 yards per punt return in 2024 and earned a first-team All-Pro selection and his second Pro Bowl nod.
“Yes he really did,” Broncos general manager George Paton said in March when asked about Mims taking a jump in Year 2. “He took that next step. Sean [Payton] used him a little differently than we had in the prior [season]. He’s just grown. He’s grown as a pro.
“You can see the confidence when he started getting touches, and [when we] used him in different areas, he just took off. I think it has to do with confidence, kind of the way we used him and the way we incorporated him in our offense.”
Through two seasons with the Broncos, Mims has now totaled 2,263 all-purpose yards and scored eight touchdowns. He has emerged as a key weapon for Denver both on offense and special teams, and at just 23 years old, the talented young receiver is poised to continue improving with the Broncos.
