Several Cincinnati Bengals players are entering critical seasons in 2026 – including fifth-year defensive back Dax Hill.A former first round pick out of Michigan in 2023, Hill has played a variety of roles for the Bengals since his arrival, including safety, nickel cornerback and in 2025, outside cornerback, where Hill had arguably his best season as a professional.With the arrival of cornerback Tacario Davis, a third round pick in last month’s draft, more questions about where Hill will play in 2026 are coming up as the Bengals continue offseason workouts.“Just staying in one spot, I feel like that’s ideal for my development and my mental health,” Hill said.Hill has recorded three interceptions, 24 passes defended, nine tackles for loss and seven quarterback hits across four seasons with the Bengals.Last season, Hill grew into his role as the Bengals’ second outside cornerback opposite DJ Turner, taking the starting spot from Cam Taylor-Britt.This offseason has brought chatter of a possible extension for Hill, who is set to become a free agent after the 2026 season. “My agent mentioned some things in the offseason, but not too much, so we’ll just see what the future holds,” Hill said.
