That doesn’t mean the Browns roster is perfect. Not even close. It does mean GM Andrew Berry could be selective in adding veteran free agents to the roster. If the team is hoping to compete for the playoffs, a few veterans could be helpful to the roster. Full disclosure, this article was initially about three players, but the first two on the list were added as obvious choices that fans would get behind.

NFL Free Agency: 5 Players the Browns should sign

Where he would start could be a question, with Zion Johnson as the left guard of the future, but bringing back Bitonio would slide Elgton Jenkins to center for sure and keep Teven Jenkins in a backup role. One last chance to play for, hopefully, a good orange and brown team. Johnnyjmac made the argument for Bitonio’s return in The Feed.

Even if Chubb is a “washed” version of himself, Cleveland doesn’t have a third-down back they can trust in pass protection right now, unless FB Michael Burton is used. Chubb can still be helpful after a mediocre season, compared to his best, last year for the Houston Texans.

Like the first two names on the list, Bosa is more name than game at this point in time, but still can be productive. With AJ Epenesa having his deal voided after the physical, Berry can turn to another former Bills edge rusher to provide a few quality snaps per game.

Still just 27 years old, Diggs went from a top-level cornerback to looking for a job in record time. A two-time Pro Bowler, Diggs could be a buy-low candidate for any team but might be waiting for an injury to unlock a potential starting spot. In Cleveland, Diggs can provide depth on the outside behind Denzel Ward and Tyson Campbell.

Like his brother, Diggs has seen a very fast fall from grace on and off the field. Cleared this week of legal issues, Diggs had over 1,000 yards receiving last year and can provide a product option as the Browns rookies develop. KC Concepcion could learn a lot of route-running nuances from the four-time Pro Bowler.

Which of the 5 do you think the Browns should sign? Which would be a bad addition to the team?
