The Kansas City Chiefs will look forward to the return of star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who saw his 2025 regular-season campaign end prematurely due to a serious knee injury.

While Mahomes has already undergone surgery and is making progress toward returning to action, one of his former teammates — legendary defensive back Tyrann Mathieu — didn’t mince words in describing the unbelievably quick recovery timeline that the MVP signal-caller is currently on track to achieve.

According to Mathieu, Mahomes could participate in Kansas City‘s Organized Team Activities (OTAs) later this summer, which would be an incredible achievement for the ex-Texas Tech Red Raider.
