Vikings agree to deal with former 49ers WR Jauan Jennings
Last week, the Minnesota Vikings hosted former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings on a visit, but he left without a deal. It turns out, the visit would be fruitful for all parties involved, as according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Minnesota and Jennings have agreed on a one-year deal worth up to $13 millon. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, confirmed the news to Schefter.
Many believed the Vikings would look to add a wide receiver during the 2026 NFL Draft, as Minnesota lost Jalen Nailor to the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency. Instead, they ink Jennings to a prove-it deal, giving him a chance to perform well in hopes of signing a long-term extension next offseason. During his five seasons in San Francisco, Jennings totaled 210 receptions for 2,581 yards and 22 touchdowns.
He now joins Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, potentially forming the best wide receiver room in the conference. Jennings has played well over the last two seasons, posting 132 receptions for 1,618 yards and 15 touchdowns.
