The Pittsburgh Steelers are putting up for sale the seats that were removed from the 500 level of Acrisure Stadium as part of renovations this offseason.
Approximately 22,000 seats from the 500 levels of the east and west sides of the stadium in sections 504-507 and 528-541, as well as gray seats from the north club sections NC-1 to NC-15, were removed this offseason and replaced with new ones as part of a major renovation project. The seats were original to the stadium, which opened as Heinz Field in 2001.
The Steelers are partnering with MeiGray, a sports memorabilia company, to sell the seats, which are available on the company’s website.
“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with MeiGray, giving fans the first opportunity to own a piece of the Steelers’ iconic home—sustainably repurposed and authenticated by a renowned game-used sports memorabilia authenticator,” Steelers vice president Ryan Huzjak said in a press release.
The seats will be refurbished and reassembled for delivery, with single seats being sold for $399 and pairs for $599. Some autographed and some blank seat-backs are also available. The seats will be installed on feet that allow them to be used.
Specific seats can be requested, but the Steelers and MeiGray can’t guarantee that every request will be able to be honored.
The new seats will be slightly different than the old ones, with a black pattern interrupting the previous sea of gold in the stadium’s 500 level.
