The NFL is projecting to feature a record-setting nine international games in four continents, seven countries, and eight stadiums in the 2026 season. The Kansas City Chiefs have a significant history of playing international games, including recent contests in Brazil, Germany, and Mexico.

The league has continued to feature artists from different cultures as performers, promoting diversity and innovation. Super Bowl LX halftime performer and global superstar Bad Bunny delivered a memorable show that drew a record-breaking audience.

Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. spoke with the female DJ trio Las Flaquitas for their thoughts on the cultural impact of the Super Bowl LX halftime show.

“It was fun to watch him transform a football stadium into a space that felt like home for a lot of people, and for others was an introduction. In his short performance, he gave everyone a kind of history lesson that felt celebratory, which isn’t easy to do.”

Las Flaquitas in partnership with Hornitos Tequila is bringing the flavors of its roots to the forefront with the launch of “All You Need Is Three,” a cocktail collaboration featuring The Horchata Colada, a creamy, tropical cocktail layered with warm spice, The Jalisco Sunrise, a bright, fruit-forward serve finished with hibiscus and The Flaqui Margarita, a vibrant twist on the classic featuring chamoy and Tajin.

“As DJs, we’re always thinking about how music brings people together across different backgrounds, and that set excited people across all continents. We had friends in Paris having watch parties for his performance.”

Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt recently expressed a strong interest in expanding internationally and playing more games abroad. The Chiefs have a passionate fanbase in Mexico, cultivated through the NFL’s Global Markets Program. Kansas City actively supports the community through dedicated Spanish-language content and youth flag football initiatives.

As “The Tequila de Todos,” Hornitos Tequila has a history of breaking tradition dating back to 1950 when founder Don Francisco launched the brand in honor of Mexican Independence Day. Las Flaquitas recently DJ’d a Cinco de Mayo celebration at Hornitos’ Mex Gala 2026: Open Invitación in New York City.
